Delete your account & associated data
This page explains how to request deletion of your SituationWare account and the
data associated with it, for the app org.securitasmachina.situationware.
How your account works
SituationWare uses team-based access: you sign in with a team code and a callsign (username) — there is no email address or password personal account. Your "account" is your membership in a team. Your operational data lives on the SituationWare server operated by your organization.
Steps to request deletion
To ask Acknowledged Development Inc. to delete your SituationWare account and associated data, follow these steps:
- Tap the button below (it pre-fills an email), or start a new email to help@securitasmachina.org.
- Include your team code and callsign (username) so we can identify your membership.
- Send the request. We acknowledge it and complete deletion within 30 days (or forward it to your operating organization where they control the data).
Faster alternative: ask your team Commander to remove you from within the app (team roster → remove member), which deletes your membership immediately.
What is deleted
On a verified request we delete, from your organization's server:
- your team membership and callsign;
- your shared location history/position broadcasts;
- markers, notes, drawn routes/areas, and threat zones you created;
- chat messages you sent; and
- photo, audio, video, and file attachments you uploaded.
What may be retained, and for how long
- Aggregated/technical analytics that no longer identify you may be retained for usage measurement.
- Your organization (the data controller) may retain certain records where it is required to for legal, safety, audit, or incident-record reasons. Only what is necessary is kept, and for no longer than required by that purpose.
We acknowledge requests promptly and complete deletion within 30 days, or forward your request to your operating organization where they are the controller of the data.
